How to Bid at Auction

Leski Auctions is committed to ensuring that the process of bidding at auction is simple and rewarding. We offer a variety of options to make our auctions accessible to all bidders anywhere in the world.

All first-time bidders will be asked to provide ID confirming their address prior to their registration being approved. International bidders may also be asked to provide a refundable deposit.

Buyers’ premium of 19.5 % (+ GST for all Australian residents) is payable on all lots purchased at auction.

Room Bidding

Register in person during the viewing period or on the day of the auction. We strongly recommend attending the auction to bid in person whenever possible.

Free Leski Auctions Live Bidding Platform

We offer free internet bidding for all Leski Auctions clients via our own secure platform.

Click here to log-in or create an account. You will then need to register for the auction in which you wish to participate. We recommend that you complete this process 24 hours in advance. N.B: Absentee bids lodged via the online catalogue can be placed at any time before or even during the auction. However, the “live bidding screen” will only appear shortly before or once the auction is in progress.

Our platform enables you to leave absentee bids via the online catalogue at any time as well as live bidding during the auction once it has commenced.

Invaluable and other Third-Party Live Bidding Platforms

Some auctions will also be featured on Invaluable or other third-party bidding platforms.
Please note: Bidding via Invaluable attracts a 5% surcharge.

Bidding Increments

Leski Auctions has the following standard bidding increments. Please ensure that your bids are lodged in the correct increment. Our bidding platform will not accept bids which do not follow the increments detailed below.

The auctioneer, at his or her discretion may vary these increments.

Request a Condition Report

All lots offered for auction are sold “as is”. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to satisfy themselves of the condition of the lot prior to bidding at auction.

Our specialists are on hand to provide additional information pertaining to condition as well as additional images if required.

Please note: Requests for condition reports and additional images need to be received no later than 24 hours prior to the commencement of the auction. We cannot guarantee that requests received after this time will be actioned.

Payments & Collections

All invoices are emailed out at the completion of the auction. A separate email will also be sent containing information about collection times and suggested carriers depending on the type of auction in which you have purchased.

All invoices must be paid within 5 days of issue. All payments must be made in Australian Dollars.

Leski Auctions accepts a variety of payment methods.

Direct Deposit

Payment by direct deposit is our preferred method.
Please allow 24 hours for your payment to clear into our bank account or alternatively, please provide a copy of the EFT receipt clearly detailing the Leski Auctions account details.

Eftpos & Credit Card Payments

Clients who come in to pay for their purchase in person may pay by Eftpos (no surcharge) or credit card without restrictions.

  • Payments made by Visa or MasterCard will attract a 1.75% surcharge.
  • Payments made by American Express will attract a 1.75% surcharge.

Cash

Leski Auctions will accept payments of up to $10,000AUD in cash. For cash payments greater than this, funds will need to be deposited into the Leski Auctions bank account by the purchaser at their local Westpac branch.

Please do not post cash payments to Leski Auctions.

Cheque / Money Order

Payment by cheque or money order will only be accepted with prior approval.

Collection of goods purchased at auction is to be made within 5 days of the auction. Goods will not be released ahead of payment.

Collection can be made from 727-729 High Street, Armadale anytime from Monday – Friday between 10.00am and 5.00pm, or at other times by arrangement.

We encourage all clients to arrange collection and delivery of their items themselves where possible. This will enable you to shop around for the right price and time frame for delivery. In the event that you are unable to do this, please email us at mail@leski.com.au and we will provide assistance where possible.

Purchase of Unsold Lots

Most unsold lots are available for purchase at the vendor’s reserve plus buyers’ premium for 5 days immediately following the auction.

Buy it Now

Bidders who registered for the auction will receive notification by email of all unsold lots available for purchase and their respective prices. They will then be able to log-in to their account and purchase online. An updated invoice will then be issued to confirm the purchase within 24 hours.
