Team Sheet signed by 13 players including Greg Chappell, Kim Hughes, Dennis Lillee and Rod Marsh. $150200348SOUTH AFRICA CRICKET UNION AUTOGRAPH PAGES, (2) headed 1990 - 1991 SOUTH AFRICA vs ENGLISH XI, the first signed by the 12-man South African Squad, the second signed by the 16-man English touring party (Mike Gatting capt., John Emburey, vice capt.). Superb condition. The 1990 rebel tour had been an unmitigated disaster, as the English players were seen to be shoring up the dying apartheid regime at the same time as freedoms were being implemented in South Africa. The day after the end of the only test match, Nelson Mandela was freed from imprisonment, while an explosion outside Newlands convinced the organisers that continuing with the tour as planned was not viable, not least as it would potentially put the players safety at risk. All subsequent matches were cancelled. A further planned tour by the English players, intended for the winter of 199091, and for which the players had signed up, was also cancelled, with the players receiving their full payments. These signed autograph sheets are all that remains of that tour. $300400349AUSTRALIA: 1999-2000 Australian Team v India Test Series, official team sheet with 13 signatures including Stephen Waugh (captain), Shane Warne, Adam Gilchrist & Ricky Ponting.
